I do a lot of ground blind hunting and for that reason, this pack/chair is extremely intriguing. However, I got sticker shock when I looked at the price. I nearly choked on my Copenhagen. The pack is sweet, no doubt. Has anyone seen this thing for sale and is the price on the website MSRP or is that actually retail? Anyone know?:d

Yeah, price is only thing driving me from one as well. BUT, that said, you could use this as an external frame meat hauler on your elk hunts (since I know you Elk hunt)....Pretty neat pack. I would MUCH rather have this 10 to 1 over the DB Wild Thing which goes for $100 more (if paying sticker price for either)

Either way, I am stickin with my trusty $30 Fieldline from WalMart...holds the DB Matrix+1Garden Chair just fine, and is comfortable to pack too.

I have heard some ok reviews for this over on bowsite, but half of them come from the Magnus guys themselves LOL

I just think this thing is more versatile, at $100 less. (ever since Primos bought DB, the wild thing went up to $269.)
It has your stool built in, can be used to haul some serious weight in other apps, can lash on unlimited gear since it just a frame pack. People who film would be able to put all hunting AND filming gear on the same pack easily, I don't think that would be possible with the Wild Thing I saw. Not to mention, that stool looks more comfortable than any I have seen yet, minus the huntmore. Factor in the savings by not buying a stool, and there is another $30 you save over the DB gear.

I just think it offers more for $100 less (stool factored in, $130 less), if sticker price is paid for both.

Both are out of my league, and I have only seen the DB pack in person, so my opinion is an internet opinion, take with a rather large grain of salt...the rack pack could prove to be junk, but coming from Magnus, I'd say it will be solid.
