It started last Friday. ND always starts the Friday at noon on Labor day weekend.

Sounds pretty cool. Glad he had fun!!

There probably was a parade of big bucks this morning... I shut the alarm off and went back to bed. :busted:

Unfortunately no Photoshop here, however it would be nice to get an avatar ready so we could all have it. Just read the thread about picking team captains and I guess its about that time. My vote would be for one of the more experienced forum members. Buckeye or TJF? Are one of you guys willing to be nominated?

Nevermind on the TJF...didn't realize he wasn't on our team, just saw his posts in our thread and figured he was. Buckeye or one of the other vets wanna offer?

I will decline on the offer for team captain.

Who ever wants to offer up to be team captain should be a member who checks the boards every day in case an issue arises that needs voted on by the captains.

It is also the captains job to remind everyone of the rules, over and over again such as you must have TWO photos of you, your deer and your bow. If you do not, your deer will not count for our team.

Anyhow, who wants to be the big guy for team 21?

Idk if Paul (HuntWI88) checked in via PM or whatnot but he is alive and going to do the contest. he's been too busy golfing to sign in I think. :bash:
I will continue to harass him and jack him up so he gets his tush on here

Guys I'm sorry it's been a few days. This Damn Hurricane has messed up all the electrical and phone lines in my area. Hopefully we won't lose internet again.

On a good note I visited my favorite spot and there is a ton of activity going on. Opening day should be pretty exciting. Now I just have to wait until the 15th.

    Love the name:rock:

I hope it doesn't rain like this during opening day. I think we had over 8 inches in the past few days.

Any takers for the Captain position?

about the avatar instead of it saying team 21 on the bottom could you put my name there like born2hunt or your login in name instead and maybe find a spot to put team 21 somewhere i think that would look better and there fore you know whos posting stuff

It's all you. Now put on your captains hat and lead this team to victory.

Don't forget to sign up in the team captains thread.

That would be neat to have a personal one for each of us, I second that idea.

You also need to keep track of who hasn't checked into the team thread. Go list those name(s) in rockingchairs thread asking for the contest no shows.

Your job as captain is basically to manage the team, to make sure everyone knows what to do and what to expect.

Go read the contest rules thread a couple times, make sure you remember and understand them. It is your job to remind the team members of the rules of the contest.

Hi again Team mates. Sorry that I haven't been to active. Just got internet hooked up at the new home yesterday.

I relocated to North Georgia in June. Spent most of my days in Ohio, a stones throw from our team mate Buckeye.

This is going to be a learning year for me..Lots of big tracts of public land here. I'm talking 17000-25000+ acres.

No farms and no crops, just big woods! Time to learn some new tricks! The hunter success rates range in the 3-3.5% rate on the areas I'll frequent. Tried to lease a ouple spots but being new to the game wasn't sure what to bid and missed out by a couple bucks an acre.

Most of my free time was spent scouting areas to lease. Once those fell through, I'm starting from scratch.
Here's the kicker..our season starts tomorrow!!!

I will get out for the evening hunt, I have a decent Black Bear spot scouted, that comes in tomorrow as well.

Anyway, I'll be on much more frequently now and if anyone is into texting hit me with an PM and we can exchange numbers
