So I went out tonight and finally saw some deer. 2 or 3 came through behind me but no shooting. One for sure was a doe, she was the only one who stopped. The other one or ones were in some kind of hurry so I didn't get a good look at em. The doe that did stop was bout 50 plus yards away and didn't have any interest in coming my way. Oh well at least I seen some deer at least.

Glad this cold weather has finally hit Wisco cuz I was sure getting frustrated. I'm thinking the cold will make em move more in the light. Go Team Rack Attack!

Quick Reminder if you shoot a doe or a buck you have to have two different pictures of the deer you shoot.... with you, the deer, and your bow in the picture......shoot straight boys let em fly

Hey guys was out of town on business this week. Last Sunday I drew on a doe but she turned wrong and was a bit obscured by low ground vegetation. Found a decent ridge saw 2 more deer at last light no idea what they were.

Gonna hit that tomorrow night (Sat) and leave my stand for Sunday Morn. Gun season comes in two weeks from tomorrow. I'll still be bowhunting, didn't even move my guns to Georgia yet, moving Company wouldn't touch them.

On the exciting side I have a new rig arriving this week. Local Company (Macon Georgia) Obsession Bows makes my dream bow, 33.75 axle to axle 340 FPS Barnsdale carbon limbs, the works. I called the shop, just to get specs and prices etc and ended up talking to the owner unbelievably nice guy, Dennis. By the end of the conversation, I was on his Pro Staff.

I'll be posting pics after I get her, and get her dressed.

Bucks aren't moving much in Northern Wisconsin. I haven't seen a lot of buck sign at all. But the rut is almost here and when it cools off those bucks will come out of the woodwork. And we'll all think, jeez where'd they come from when in all reality they've been here all along. They just move around at night right now.

I saw 2 does tonight. I found a better spot deeper in the woods by me, just need to find the right tree and I'm golden.

Been out a lot lately. Unfortunately missed a doe at 15 yrds. Just bad spot placement and saw 24 other ones in my last 6 hunts.

Went out tonight and saw a little fawn doe, would've shot her if she was in range but unfortunately she was too far away. At least the deer movement has picked up by me. I'm guessing if it gets any colder and they'll be moving steady at all times of the day. Hopefully soon because my patience is running pretty thin right now. lol

smctitan i see that they didnt enter your doe....so if you want i think it would be fine if you decided to take another doe and enter that if you decide too.

Alright guys I have some good news! Went out this morning to bait my stand and boy were the deer moving! In a field on the way I saw 7 does and standing in the middle of em was a 110 to 120 inch 8 pointer. He wasn't a monster but a nice buck nonetheless. So the bucks are hanging with the doe's a bit.

Also while baiting I took my time to sneak in the woods. I had a Mama Doe and 2 little fawns walk up on me. I stood still and crouched down cuz I didn't want em to get spooked and know that something was up in my neck of the woods. The first fawn ran up and thought she saw me so reared toward her right and stopped. Next came the Mama Doe. She noticed her fawn stopped so looked over the area. She didn't spot me for awhile. I saw her pop a squat and piss bout 30 yrds from where I was crouching down . Then decided to walk my way a lil bit. She noticed me but didn't know what I was so she took a few more steps towards me. The deer were so close to me I could smell em. Eventually she realized something wasn't right and they trotted away. Then while I was on my way out I seen another fawn bolt through the woods. In total I saw 16 deer today, and 8 of em were in the field.

We have some cold weather on the way and it's pushing the rut something fierce!
