That's incredible to get that close. I bet the hair on the back of your neck stands up when one bugles close by.

I imagine it's about like that feeling of plying hide and seek when your younger and the adrenaline is pumping and your're about to pee your pants because the person is about to find you hahah. Or maybe that was just me haha

So what's the Broadhead of choice for most of us? Mechanical, hybrid, fixed? I'm shooting the NAP XXX which is a 3-blade 2"cut. They aren't worth a crap after the shot but so far great results and razor sharp.

This was my doe last season on a hard quarter away shot. She ran maybe 5 yards lol.

Shooting 100 grain Rage Hypodermics 2 blade for the last couple of years. Have done the job for me on bears and deer and see no need to switch. I did convert to fixed "slick tricks" when I elk hunted.

Used NAP Killzones the last few years. Switched to a fixed blade for this season and went with the NAP Hellrazor.

That hellrazor looks like a sweet fixed blade. Good design to it. Let me know how you end up doing with it.

Will do! Felt like I’d try a fixed blade for the first time. I was torn between the muzzy 3 blade and the NAP’s. What’s everyone use for turkeys? I used a Rage mechanical last year and it didn’t fully open...

I’ve been spying on some of our competitors threads. They are posting trailcam photos of some big bucks! Some of us are only a short month or less away. To spark a little competition in our group of Rack & Rollers, I’ll send the first person who tags a Deer one of my firehouse patches. Hopefully this can be something fun just in our group to remember the season. BTW I work at Station 14, home of the Klamm Park Devils.

That's OK, getting pics of them is much different than killing them. That patch looks cool! :tu:

Seen this on a group I follow. It's started here in Texas fellas. Should be seeing some hard horned pictures soon.

Wicked looking patch, Simplman! Very cool..

Like KB, I'll be using Rage Hypo 2 blades this season. I've been shooting Rage heads since 2010 without a single issue.

So I may have missed it. Are Kenny and dusty the only ones hunting early for whitetail? My season in Texas opens September 29th here in Texas

My season opens Sept 15th, and if my 2 giant white oaks are dropping acorns I'll be in the woods early this season. If not, I'll let the temps drop some before I get in.
