I like the footage. Looking forward to following you this season. What editing software are you using? A buddy and I just split a nice entry level camera yesterday in the Sony handyman AX33 from best buy for around $700. I told him about the 4th arrow camera arms that you and a lot of guys on this site recommend. Hopefully we can get some good footage put together this season.

I went in today to set my 2nd cam, a Cudde Attack, and to clear a branch from storm damage that was leaning against one of my trees. It was wedged so tight I had to cut it with my folding hand saw. Didn't hunt because of the N NE wind, but I came across this small rub, the first one I've seen this season. :tu:

First day of season is tomorrow morning where I normally hunt. I'm starting to get the anticipation back. Honestly with the illness, recovery and trying to catch up on work I have really not had time to properly prepare. I will get out this weekend but not to hunt, just to get prepared. Wish everyone luck as the seasons get started.

Hunt safe guys! Congrats to you guys that have already put some venison on the ground!

Got out yesterday and brushed a stand in, felt really good to get out in the woods and was great stress relief. I am going to try to get another one today. Got to do a little branch trimming also. It has been raining here everyday for a week or longer but yesterday the sun started shining. The Dr. told me that I could develop a sun sensitivity with the antibiotic that he prescribed and boy was he right. It surprised me that when the sun hit my skin that it felt like I was next to a fire. Got to remember to wear long sleeves and a wide brim hat. Last antibiotic today and follow-up Dr. visit Monday so hopefully I'll get clean bill to resume normal activities.

Well my opener didn't really go according to plan. Was only able to hunt Saturday morning. We had a really crappy wind for most of my locations and weather played a big role being thunderstorms most of the weekend. Did not get the cooler weather like first anticipating as the front stalled out once it came across Texas. Hoping next weekend is a little better but still looking at above normal temps for the time being.

Well I wish I had something to report, but I haven’t even gotten in the stand yet. Went up to our property opening weekend but it was way too hot and the bugs were terrible so I didn’t even bother going out. I’ve haven’t been back up since then with my boys just finishing up their fall ball schedules. Heading to the in-laws in Door County this weekend and then it’ll be all hunting all the time!! I’ve got a few days off over the next few weeks so hopefully the deer will cooperate. I’ll keep you guys updated when I do get out there.

Pops shot a doe in our one urban area so he's got that coveted second buck tag for an IN urban spot...I will still earn mine at some point. Today was the opener for regular archery, but weather didn't line up well so didn't go. MAY go wednesday but only if it all fits together. Gonna slip in after my target bucks....fingers crossed.
