I still haven't solved the problem. It seems so simple...keep raccoon from climbing up a single post! Lol. It's amazing how far they can swing and reach out to grab the edge and pull themselves up. Ninja coons!

I haven't read through all the idea but you could try putting it higher up then making a cone like dogs wear when they get surgery and put that on the pole upside down so they can't get around that?

Golden Malrin and Coke will absolutely take care of it. Just make sure your cats and dogs don't get near it! Couple of kids here locally were turning in coons to the fur buyer with no bullet holes or trap marks on them. Buyer let the game warden know and the feces hit the oscilator!

A few days ago we wrapped the center post is metal flashing. It's really slick and we are hoping they can't get their claws in it. I have the cam set to video. I hope it drives them nuts! Thanks for all the replies. I'll post video soon as I pull the card this next weekend.

Well....242 videos of the coons getting in the feeder again. I think it is now time to buy a portable electric fence and wrap the center post!

simple fix. Truss mending plates. Simply screw them in with the spikes facing out coons will stay off after they cut the crap out of their paws. 081942031499lg.jpg
