You could go out and buy a counter stabilizer as the article suggests, or you could just never take your quiver off like I do. You get used to countering the weight within a few shooting sessions.
No wonder I like you Sota--we think alike----hip quiver strapped to leg if long walk--just carried for short walks, done this for oh over 40 years I suppose----many years ago I witnessed my brother in a tree stand ( remember the baker climbers ? ) from a distance, I really saw the feathers moving quite noticeably up there, so I never kept them on my bow after that
To be honest I hunt at home and I am thrifty (too cheap) to spend crazy money on a quiver that mounts to the bow.
I do a lot of spot and stalk hog hunting so I recently bought a Tight Spot because of the good reviews. Yet to see a massive difference from the old quiver but I keep it on.
I use to always where a hip quiver. Till hopped off the top of a fence one day and ran a nock through the bend in my arm. It went in a least 1" -1 1/2" deep. It wasn't the quiver fault just a dumb moment on my part.
In the past ive kept it off but practice both ways. Ill probably keep it on this year, as it will work better for something new im trying. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
I use Tightspot quivers and they never come off the bow. Noiser quivers or models that don't fit as tight to the riser I can understand why some people remove their quivers.
Practice both ways b/c I SnS and stand hunt. But in the stand it comes off. I've forgotten before and gotten pegged and I'm 100% convinced it was all those white Quickfletch sleeves moving..,
The only reason i take my quiver off in the stand is to lay my bow in my lap. If I choose to hang up my bow while I wait then I would leave it on.
Depends. Deer hunting, on the bow until I get to the stand. Elk hunting, on the bow from first day to last.
