As many of you might have done, I have converted to carbon arrows. One of the problems I have encountered is that the gripper on many of my quivers do not hold the shafts quite tight enough and the arrows slip out. Now I don't want to damage any of the grippers by screwing, pop-riveting or dismantling them because some are becoming rather valuable. This is what I came up with.
If you go to your local Lowe's or Home Depot you can find cans of liquid rubber or this smaller bottle of Liquid Tape (same thing).
With a toothpick you can apply small amounts to the inside of the gripper holes. This will narrow the diameter of the hole without any visible alteration or possible damage. You might have to apply more than one coating to get the tightness you require. If you do an "oops" you can clean it up with a wet paper towel while the rubber is still wet. The liquid rubber does cure rather quickly so this modification is not days in the making. Be sure the curing is complete before inserting arrows into the quiver.
