    How do you shoot best?

I have shot for years with quiver off, and just remove once I get to stand. But with Elk hunt this Sept thought I might like to have it on with moving around more. I put back on last night and was like I was shooting a totally different bow...Heavier, Torgued, recoil was different, and arrows were hitting left. Removed and shot great again...think I might have to play with attaching quiver to my pack.
Now my recurve I like to have quiver on and have just gotten used to it so will most likely leave it on.

I perosnally hate shooting with a quiver on, I despise it. Shooting with one on will change your POI some, but with alot of form practice I have gotten it very marginal.

I would recommend, for your elk hunt, that you opt for the mounted quiver vs. a hip/pack quiver. Elk are one of those rare animals where a second shot isn't usually totally out of the question. Having an arrow right there and ready really helps. If I do feel the need to pop off my quiver when I set up for elk I always loosen the second arrow.

There are some quivers out there that dull the traditionally felt affects of having a bow mounted quiver. Tightspot being at the top of the list, as well as the most expensive. I recently purchased the FUSE Ventura one piece and love it, very quiet. Treelimb and Mathews make nice quivers too.

I have always like shooting with my quiver on. For some reason I just dont like the way it feels when it is off. Out of the 5 or 6 people i shoot with. I am the only one who leave it on. Just like everything else that has to do with archery or bowhunting its all opinion and what you like best. Whatever you are more comfortable with.

I absolutely hate shooting with a quiver on. I only treestand hunt, so the quiver is only on the bow when I'm pulling the bow up a tree. It's attached to my pack when I'm hiking in, and attached to the tree when I'm sitting.

Detached without a doubt when I get to my stand. I installed a hook on the top of my quiver so it is easy to hang and within arms reach for follow up shots. .

I have always shot with it on, but this year i'm switching up. I'm already practicing without it on, it seems better.

Off. I don't know why, I've just always done it that way. It works for me so I'll keep it off.

Always a quiver attached. I want to be able to reload quickly if I miss or I make a less than ideal shot. I am shooting a recurve this year and just got my first quiver yesterday. I barely even noticed the quiver when I shot today.

I take mine off as soon as I get up in the tree or blind. I practice/shoot 3d all year without it, so I want the same thing on the hunt.

My quiver never comes off my bow. Just the way I have always done it. I dont think there were detachable quivers available when I started in the 70's. lol. Having a quck second shot with little movement has worked for me more than once.

I'm pretty sure KWIKEE KWIVER had their detachable quiver out back then.
I always shoot with mine off and hunt with it off as well.
As far as a second shot goes, I place (broadhead down) a back-up arrow in my day pack, which I have hanging right next to me. If the situation arises, where I can get/need a second shot, my back-up is right there.

When hunting out west....the quiver is always attached as I am mobile and moving about.

For stand hunting at home....the quiver is always off. I live in an area where winds in excess of 10mph are the norm and 15-20mph days are very common. The quiver on makes steadiness MUCH more difficult in windy conditions, therefore it is always off.
