How hard is it raining? I wouldn't go if its a downpour, it will wash away any blood trail

It really depends for me. If its early in the season, before the rut, I am hesitant to hunt a lot in the rain. Like others said, it can ruin blood trails if you do shoot. Also, it can be somewhat of a pain in the butt to get everything dried out. I don't like using our dryer to do it because of the fabric softeners we use on our normal clothes.

Now, if its anywhere between Oct 30 and November 15, I'll hunt it in a heart beat.

Go! Git a move on! Fall leaves will buffer your footsteps and the deer will be out in a light rain. Just make a good shot.

You have to be willing to accept the fact that finding a deer could prove to be very difficult, even on an "easy" shot. If you are ok with a higer risk of losing a deer, go for it.
