I just got 6 new Easton Axis arrows and had them put the quick fletch on them. My question is that i noticed that the spacing between some of the fletchings are not the same. Some are spaced close together and some are farther apart. Will this affect my arrow flight if they are not spaced equally?

I've used them before, I wanted to jump on the nap bandwagon after hearing so much good about them. I put them on my arrows, Easton ST Epics, and shot them the next day. If they weren't ripping off my arrows, they were flying horribly. Couldn't get them to fly or work right to save my life. I gave up on them just like all nap products.

I've had a few arrows where the fletching appeared to be spaced closer on some than others, but never noticed a difference in flight characteristics with them. The only time that happened was also on Axis arrows, which obviously have a really thin diameter. Are you having any problems with them flying properly?

I'll check with the folks @ NAP and see what I can find out and then report back to you.

mechanic - the only reason they would be flying poorly or ripping off the arrow is if you had some sort of fletching/arrow contact with your bow or rest. I've been shooting Quikfletch for 3 years now and never had a single issue with durability that wasn't caused by fletching contact, or contact with another arrow in the target.

I had them on my Easton FMJs and had no problem with flight patterns. I was actually shooting really good groups with them although i wouldn't say it was better. The reason i switched back to Blazers is because yes, they are quick to put on but if you hit another arrow or have a pass through, they rip and tear and either look terrible (I am OCD) or do not fly right. They cost too much to have to replace one after every arrow contact or pass through so I decided to return to my Blazers. The spacing didn't affect any of my groupings or flight patterns though so just give em a try and see.

Thanks Justin, let me know what NAP says about that. I will try and get our after work and shoot them to see how they fly and report back. I'm going on a week long hunting trip in 2 weeks so im gonna make sure everything is in working order.

Just an update on this. The spacing of the fletchings doesn't seem to make much (if any) difference in the arrow flight.

Justin, let me know if you got in touch with NAP. Im curious to see why this happens. Im guessing it's b/c of the small arrow diameter.

My guess would be the same. Since they are made to fit any arrow shaft, they most likely spaced the fletchings to fit the average size and since the arrows you are shooting have a smaller diameter than the average it is slgihtly affected. Like I said before, I shoot FMJs which are also smaller diameter and mine did that too and my friend has normal sized and his are pretty much perfect
