With Spring green up right around the corner I thought it would be fun to make a quick write up about a food plot method you can use without the big hoss equipment that is out there today. With a very low start up cost and a little bit of ingenuity anyone can make an acceptable food plot that deer will eat from. The idea behind this food plot is rather than finding the field locations where the ground needs to be thoroughly tilled, find the areas where minimal tilling is needed. Wood lines, walking trails, and bare forest floors. You just might create something that will keep the deer coming back to casually graze for a while, and even hang them up for a shot, all the while making them feel a bit more comfortable in the confinement of the woods versus a wide open field.
