I have found a pretty good place to hunt. I have does and bucks both traveling two runways as they say. I can't seem to get them in closer for a bow shot. Any suggestions? As you know I'm new at this only hunting 2 years with a bow. How do you descent your bow or do you? If you spray it, it would leave white stuff all over it. Thanks for your help!

Without a little more information it's kind of hard to answer your question about getting closer. Are you hunting from a tree stand? If so, can you move your stand closer to the runway? It really does depend on the lay out of your area. Grunt calls, rattling antlers and decoys can be used during the rut too. Also, a drag line (cloth dipped in doe urine) can bring a buck by your stand too. Search this site for those topics and pay close attention to the information.

I don't typically de-scent my bow but have hit it with a little Silver spray from Primos once or twice. :D Hunting the wind is the best scent control you can use. Good luck.
