Ok, so I got my new strings yesterday and put one on today. I just went by some online instructions I saw and crimped on a Nock-set at 3/8" up from the bottom of my tuning square. Is this the norm?

Also, I had serving for nock-sets on my old string, and I think I like that better. What do you guys prefer? Why?

One other thing. In adjusting/fine-tuning your nock height, do you just remove the nock-set and put a new one on each adjustment?

Be back later. Thanks in advance for the replies/input.

    Yep, good starting point.

I use one crimped brass nock for mine. Why you ask, I haven't tried anything else.;)

No, I loosen my crimped nock and raise or lower It and tighten again.

Thanks Steve. Appreciate the info. Bro.

I think I am gonna get it tuned like I need it and then mark it and use serving to make some permanent. I really liked having the nock between 2 points like that.

One other question, on a new string, how many shots do you usually shoot before fine tuning? (Strings are the FastFlight material I believe. Chad from Tradgang made them.)

    Thanks,

    Bobby

If your brace height doesn't change any, leave It be. Usually though It will change some right away so unstring It and twist It up some but after a while It should stay put for a good while. It don't hurt to keep an eye on It from time to time, your string will stretch again some time more likely, at least mine have anyway. As far as fast flight strings, heck I don't even know what kind of string Is on mine. I just know It's a string.;)

Glad to help a friend out!!
