this is a new area i will be able to hunt this year. i have not been on the land yet, but everything to the west of the black line is supposed to be mixed hardwood forest (red and white oak, mockernut hickory). the red dots are places that i had thought would be good places, but i wanted to run it by you fellers. thanks for your time.

Hard to say. Where are the food sources? Are there major trails? Hunting by water sources can help bring success, but without more info, any suggestions you receive will be nothing more than WAGs.

i can post a black and white topo map but it basically just shows tree cover.

iv never been on the land before so i have no clue on trails, and the entire area is covered in mature oak, hickory, etc.

here you guys go that wanted an aerial photo.

from the topo looks to me like you got it, any more evidence will just zero you in. i like to put stands in similar place that you have indicated on this map... only other thing i'd say is walk the river and check along some of those sharp winds that it makes...
