Hey all you covert people, which is most everyone on this site, :D

I'm thinking about getting a covert and I have a couple questions.

First: About how many pic do you get a weeks? I know it varies by where you live but I'd still like to know.
My cudde backs only take about 10 pics in two weeks. And the spots used to get about 30 or 40 pics in that time.
My cams might be getting old.

Second: About how many blank pics do you get?

    Thanks.

Hardly any blank pics maybe 1 out of 100. My high traffic cams get well over 1000 pics a week, low traffic cams anywhere from 75-400 depends

Im pretty much the same as TB but one of my cameras gets a little more blanks just because its on the edge of a corn field. They will be sitting now while im at school so they will pretty full when i get back to check them in late September or early October.

You really can't go wrong getting a Covert. Battery life, picture quality & customer service are all top notch.
As far as number of pictures. That I think depends on your settings. I have one of mine on a Mineral site set to take 3 pictures every minute, and I usually have 3-600 pictures in a week. With very few blanks.

I would still move the camera unless you have a VERY low deer density you should be getting a lot more pics than that assuming you are in a good spot

I'm moving cams on Saturday. I'll be putting one of them on what was a really good spot for pics last year.

What was a good spot last year may not be good this year. Go out look for signs of where the deer are moving and set up there. If you want good pictures you need to put a little work in. Placing cams all willy nilly wont get you very much.

Find a close creek or ravine crossing. Maybe some sort of a pinch point where there is sign. I usually get 800 to 1500 pics a week on my Monster Raxx sites. When I'm setting cams on trails, I get 250-500 pics a week. I usually get a few blank pics but those are the first of three shots were the animal will be in the second and third.

I have 2 Cuddebacks and 2 Coverts. The Covert definitely takes less blank pictures and the battery life is far superior to Cuddeback! It has always seemed to me that if the battery power is low on a Cuddeback, it will take less pictures/miss some action. I try to put my Coverts on food plots or water holes because I think the Covert takes better pictures of stationary deer. I'll put Cuddebacks on trails because I think those cameras take better motion pictures. Both cameras have pros/cons in my opinion.

I get as few as 50 pics on trails and as many as a thousand on the Monster Raxx mineral sites in a week.

I'm in the same boat as Pat, I get over 20K pics total in two weeks and basically dedicate every other Sunday, sun up to sun down retrieving and downloading sd card pics.

Some setups get very few blanks and others get many. I know when I set a cam up on a bean field I'm gonna get blanks with the swaying beans but I get way to many pics of deer there to move the cam over blank pics.

Same here. My blanks pics come because I have my Covert set to take a pic every 6 hours no matter what.

Right now my buddy has his Coverts set up in my back yard. He left it for like 3 weeks and had almost 300 pictures. And I'm almost positive there were less than 10 that were blank. A few that were white but that was caused by the sun and a couple that looked like it captured grass moving but in the distance there was either a bird flying or a rabbit running. I think they're a top quality camera and I would definitely recommend getting one. If you don't want to spend a lot of money I run a couple Wildgames that were around 80$ and they take pretty good pictures as well.

I love my covert mp6s. I get a few blank pics every once in a while but its usually before or after the deer is going by. Other then that i can get anywhere from 100 to 1000 pics a week. It just depends on what area I put the camera in.
