So, I'm sitting in my ground blind, in comes a 7 pointer walking directly at me. He stops at an apple tree 18 yards in front of me and stands up on his hind legs to nibble the branches. He was facing me 18 yds. away exposing his entire underneath. I did not shoot. Should I have? Would you? I didn't feel comfortable shooting into the breastbone.

No, I wouldn't. You made the right call not taking the shot.

Thanks, I was starting to second guess myself for not shooting.

Low percentage shot. Good call on not shooting.

18 yards? Hmm....that would have been tough to pass up. Even at my 55lb draw, I would have got a full pass through at that distance. I think you did the right thing but that would have been a tough call. Did he not give you any other opportunity?

Agreed!!! Good call. Don't second guess yourself now...just be happy in knowing he isn't wounded from trying a shot you're not sure of. Good job man!
