I am about to switch broadheads from what I currently use to the Rage. Obviously the Rage come with practice tips.

QUESTION; What type of practice target should I get, a foam or bag target that will best be used with the Rages' practice tips. If there is a preferance between the two then what make or model is best for the money!!

Go with a good fixed head and forget the rage. I have seen more than one failure this year with the rage. Just my two cents. A friend of mine killed two huge bucks this year using a very small fixed head. It isnt the size of the hole that matters. There is a reason why many outfitters and some states dont allow mechanicals.

i shot my 3 blade rage practice tip at a foam target, it's kind of a pain to get out sometimes, but it worked fine. i used the 3 blade to take a great deer this year and will continue to use them because of the damage they cause, lots of blood and i only had one hole due to the angle of my shot. everyone has their own opinion on fixed or mechanical blades, just use what you feel confident in, and have success with, good luck

If you dont mind paying $100.00 for a good quality target then Ill recomend the Rehinhart 18-1 target. It has 18 sides and guarenteed that you will never wear it out. Its for broadheads and target point to. I have one and love the thing!
