Fellas i just bought a new site, which have 4 0.19 fixed pins....no i have been siting it in, but its kinda weird how the set up is.. 1st pin : i actually can shoot up to about 25 26 yards with this, then starts to drop a little 2nd pin: is actually 25 to about 35 roughly 3rd pin: is about 35 to 40ish 4th pin: 40 and out... How does that sound....im trying to find happy mediums inbetween pins, but just not sure...what are you guys thoughts and when you site in your bow, what process do you use to figure out pin yardage the easiest..
I just got my new bow set up about a month ago, and i zero each pin @ #1 20yds #2 30yds #3 40yds and so on. Then I shoot at all different distances in between. with 4 pins using this you can be @ 50yds. It gets confusing to me if I try to remember ie: my #2 pin shoots 27 to 34yds. my 1st pin will shoot to 27yds if its past that i'll shoot my 30yd pin. it might hit an inch or two high but the boiler room is the size of a pie plate. As long as you range your deer and are comfortable with your bow and your ability you will be fine.
I use one pin zero'd @ 25 yds. I know that w/ the way my bow shoots that I can hold dead on and it will hit a couple inches high at 20 yds or less and a couple of inches low out to 35 yds. I don't shoot any farther then that and normally I wouldn't have a clear shot past 35 anyway.
im just nervous about moving my pins at all, i just dont like doing that. Ill move my actual site up or down, right or left, but the actual pins i just dont like messing with it to much. For some reason my set up use to be like that 20, 30, 40, 50, But since i got my bow tuned up, straighened out, it seems like they shoot longer, its like 25, 35, 40, 45...weird
yeah i was thinkin that to...i have gotten so use it it being like that.....so when im flirting with 25 to 26 yards, i already am thinking 2nd pin.....so i might just keep it the way it is..and just get use to where these pins are ..because im dead on ..just gotta get use to yardage...
