Coworker let me borrow his z7 extreme . I relay enjoy shooting it. I found a used 1 that is a 70/29 his is a 60/28. What will it cost me to get 2 new or used limbs and I think u have to change cam right for draw. Is this a good bow and easy to work on or should I try to find an upgraded model easier to work on. Thanks for help
You can just buy the 28' cam and have it replaced. You can have the weight adjusted on the bow at a pro shop in a few mins. Here is a 28' cam on ebay for $60. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-Mathew...596?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c9b4f6c64
If you're just replacing the cams I'd say go for it. You can get it done for $50-70 at a shop. If you want to change both cams and limbs, I'd just look for a different bow.
Thanks I found a Mathews chill 2014 locally. 50-60 with letter E on modules. Think I need to drop 1/2 size on my draw. Even with my release tightened up hand seems a little to far behind my jaw and having a hard time keeping my nose on the string. It came with maxima carbon express .hunter 250. Bow is set at 52 lbs. How do I determine if these are right. I will be hunting whitetail. And what weight Broadhead. Thanks for helping me out.
The shop near me let me do a cam swap on my Z7 from a 29" to a 27" and they didn't change me anything. They even installed it for me.
