Question on how you will react to certain death during the Apocalypse (Hypothetical Situation)

So here is the hypothetical situation……….

The Apocalypse is happening and you and your family will almost be certainly be killed within the next few days. From what you have seen happen around you, it appears it will be a gruesome and painful death (make up your own “bad” way to die.)

Both choices really suck, but which would you choose?

#1 Do you fight to the bitter end using every last bullet, trick, or tool you may have? In this situation, the odds are very grim with less than a 1% chance of making it. But there still would be a very very small chance of survival. You will likely force yourself, wife and children to have a very painful death. Just use your imagination on this. Don't tell me how you avoid this certain death. In this situation, there is virtually no way to avoid it.

    or

#2 Do you mercifully take your family "out" in a painless and quick death (i.e. go into the garage and start the car or whatever “better” way you can think of). You are therefore condemning your family to death; but still "saving" them from their almost certain fate if you hang around.

Figured Vito would dodge the question.

My answer is that I think I would take the family out. Not sure I could take seeing the family die a hard way and having to listen to their cries knowing I could have made it a heck of a lot easier on them.

I'm not sure I could go through with it however. It's a really tough call.

If it was just me? I would be guns blazing till the end. It's the family I would have a hard time letting go till the end.

If we had a 1% chance survival I would fight. My wife and kids are tough as heck and I am sure we are tougher than the other 99% of general society. :)

I bet they are as well Brett.

My, "less than 1%" was to be that nobody or say 5 people in the whole USA live. That is all.

1% would be 1 out of every hundred and I would fight with those odds as well. A lot of people are still going to survive at 1%. ;)

#1 and trust in the Lord. Don't trust in your own knowledge.

How would you feel choosing #2, offing your own family only to have the situation change and your that #1 that lives.

Imagine living through world war 1 or 2. Many times the #2 option would have made sense to most.

I don't give a **** at this point. I'd say you're worrying too much about the stuff you're smoking. Live life and and don't worry about the end. When it comes.... there it is.

P.S. This has to be one of the stupidest post I've ever seen. Me, I'd be looking for you to take you out and put you out of your misery.

Only the guys driving a Ford will make it to the mountains. It is gonna suck trying to get around all those broke down Chevys that clutter up the road. A Ford is a must in anyone's zombie kit !!! Otherwise it was nice knowing you Ben. Just sayin' . :p

Who followed the comet Lovejoy that went through the suns corona "not the beer" and didn't get destroyed by the suns heat. It's also the first comet or Asteroid in recorded history to return through the sun.

It should have suffered a fiery death two weeks ago when it passed within 140,000 kilometers of the sun’s surface, but somehow it survived.

The comet should be visible from the southern hemisphere for the next month if you want to see it, but after that it is gone and won’t be back for 314 years....

So can you get to me in few centuries?

Dr Joseph Gobbels chose your #2. This form of mass murder is called mercy killing.

Ergo, only choice #1 is viable. The other is smokescreen for murder.
