I hadn't hunted since I was a kid. My buddy and I hunted hard all season. He was really trying to get me my first deer. Finally on Dec. 10th we were able to get it done. Shot is at 40yrds with the bow. [IMG]

First two deer with my bow this year a buck and a doe. The buck i made a poor shot on 3 weeks before i actually harvested the deer i couldn't believe it when i saw the old gash on his side. This time i made a perfect quartering away shot at 10 yards ran 40 yards and died.

My little brother shot his first archery deer this November. I was a proud big brother! Those were some sweet tasting backstraps!

Shot this deer on October second about 10 minutes before dark. It was my first bow kill and it was my first bow season. Not the biggest deer in the world but I'm happy with him. I'm now hooked on bowhunting and I don't think I'm ever gonna gun hunt again.

I shot my first one this season on Nov 6th. I had set up in the area a couple times before but never connected because i set up too far from the trail they were using. I set up that morning about 30 yds from the trail. I saw a large spike start down the trail and i stood up and got ready. It took him about 10 min to meander down the trail to my shooting lane. Well he was walking slow so i didn't think i would need to stop him. Well i let my arrow fly and shot right over his back. I was pretty sure i had missed and was kind of bummed. about that time, this 3 pt came bounding down the trail. By the time i got my bow up, he was in my shooting lane and this time i grunted really loud to stop him. he stopped and i let my arrow fly. He jumped up and ran off the way he came. Well i climbed down and went to my arrow and it was covered in good blood and bubbles. I never heard him crash so i backed out. another guy came over after about 2 hours and we went looking for him. there wasn't a blood trail at all but after about 60 yds we found him piled up. the arrow went in took out a lung and his heart. the exit wound just happened to be right near his arm pit so when he was running he was keeping the blood in. when he jumped a tree, it all came shooting out. It was an amazing rush and while i haven't been able to connect again, i still have the rest of the month and our rut is in full tilt right now. hoping to hunt a couple days this next week and put something on the ground.
