My 11 year old son got his first bow kill in sept....and then his 2nd in Dec. I'm proud of him for both but more proud of him for the 2nd. It was a cold, windy day. He had put a lot of time in a tree to get that 2nd deer and had already missed one in Oct. that he missed the yardage mark I had out and thought the deer was closer than it was. He had to let the deer walk past him to get the shot he wanted and kept his cool till the moment of truth. It was awesome!
I'm sure you've all seen the pics. I've already got them both posted in another thread.

My best friend from high school killed his first archery buck (small 8 point) and doe this year. I don't have any pictures but he was thrilled. He called me from the stand right after he shot them and he could hardly talk! lol I met him and helped him track the buck. When I got there he was super pumped! It was awesome to get to help him with the recovery! He said he understands now why I get so excited shooting a deer with a bow!

My 12 years old bro shoot his first one in late november. It was a small doe but he made a perfect shot. I was with him in the tree and I will never, ever forget it.

I'll get around to finding the pictures and post them up sometime.

Well after a couple of years of havin to pass on many shots due to the fact that I had no way to get a deer out I was finally able to get one down with a bow. This was also the first time my girlfriend has been a part of me killing something larger than a duck and trust me shes put in some time!

I believe I posted this before but will post again for those who may have missed it. I setup a friend in a stand I killed my KS buck 4 days into the season. A group of 4 bucks came in that night I killed mine and I knew if I could get my friend back in there pretty quick his odds of killing another buck in their summer pattern would be pretty high. 10 days later the wind was right and I sent him in. 3 hours later I get the call! This is his first buck ever and his third season bow hunting.

I was fortunate enough to get my first bow kill On November 19th. It was nice 4 year old 8 point with a 16" inside spread. I didn't make the greatest shot. HE wast quartering too at 12 yards. I hit shoulder the arrow penetrated about 9". Found him with a dog and put a second arrow in him. He only ran about 80 yards from the point he was hit. I was fortunate enough to take a doe the next weekend make a text book shot at 25 yards. Not sure how to post pictures but i was a shout out in episode 19 or 20 for sending a pic of the buck and me in. You can see him in the trophy section of the website.

Two things for me this year. After being away from hunting for many years, I got back in it for 2013. After trying to wait out a nice Buck shot, I finally took aim at a late season Doe and got my first ever. The other and more important was that I got my youngest in a tree with me to get some experience before the season ended. My 2014 goal is for him to stick a nice one and for me to get a Buck. Good luck to all this year!

I talked my brother into getting his son a bow last spring. He shot all summer and on his first antelope hunt and his first spot and stalk, killed a doe. He was fired up.

I've been rifle hunting my whole life but this season I decided to hang up the gun and focus on the bow. I was able to harvest a doe early December and I am hooked!
