So...I know a lot of you guys are turkey hunters as well....I have a couple nice gobblers hanging around the pasture I hunt....do you guys ever call at them during the fall? Or is it just set up w my climber as close as I can and hope they come in?
I definitely have a call in my pack when the fall season rolls in... Gobblers= slow, raspy gobbler yelps... and good luck. ;-)
Yep, like Rob said, keep a call in your pack once season gets here. You never know. They're an absolute blast to try to take with a bow, regardless of season. So far, I'm 2 for...well....way to many to recall on em, in the fall. :p They can be a pill to get drawn on from a treestand.
Yah I know all too well how much of a pill they can be! I have been busted by two of them so far in the past two seasons. I have been watching them come out on a daily basis about 80 yds away in the bottom of the pasture and don't want to bump them...didn't know if the call would work this time of year, but I'm def gonna have it with me. Thanks for the input!
