I tried shooting my hunting shafts with my new Nockturnal lighted nocks (I have the “S” size). Turns out the nock diameter is quite a bit smaller than the Bohning nocks I was using.

What nocks are you using that are the same diameter so they sit the same everytime within my D-loop? I will re-tie my D-loop smaller once I get the same size regular nock for my practice arrows.

    Thanks.

At the shop they used part of a ziplock bag to shim the nock to fit tight and stay put.

No no .. You are missing what I am saying. I already did that to get them to fit well into the arrow. I am talking about the diameter where it actually nocks. There is at least 1/8" difference between the diameters between the nocturals and bohings. Thus it doesn't always nock in excatly the same place. I need to make my D-loop less wide so it fits my noctural's snugly so it nocks on the string in the same place everytime. But then the nocks I am using won't fit anymore. What nocks are the same diameter?

I shoot the same arrow (CE Maximas). But what regular nock do you use? I assume you use something that is the same diameter at the nock end.

I shoot the nocks that come with them They have a small sleeve or collar that comes with them also. I am really showing how little I know about my set up :fro:
