    Hey Guys and Girls!

My question is, for all of you that own a Mathews/Mission, what does the harmonic stabilizers do for you? Is it a comfort thing? A balance thing? A vibration thing? A cosmetic thing? An accessory thing? Or is it something else? I have the Venture and don't have it as of now but would like to investigate getting it if its worth the 35 or so dollars. Do you guys and girls think that it's worth that much money for one? Seems like a lot.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Tim

Harmonic dampeners are for vibration dampening, which in turn makes ur bow quieter and smoother

When I purchased my Venture my pro shop guy told me to go shoot it without the HS (I planned on getting it but he wanted me to see first hand the difference). Went and shot it, felt good, then put the HS in and while I never noticed I didn't have it, I DID NOTICE I HAD IT! Vibration and after shot smoothness/quietness increased a ton. It was crazy. I have on in my riser and my actual stabilizer as well.

I was trying to find you this video a friend had showed me back in May before i bought my Mathews but im not having luck so ill have to try and explain it to you.
Well this guy was testing the Mathews riser with and with out the harmonic stabilizer so what he did was take out the harmonic stabilizers and would drop it on the pavement and the riser would just (haha this is my best impression sense im not able to find the video right now) Ping Da Ding Ding Pa Ding Ping, Then he put the harmonic stabilizers in it and it was just dead silent when he dropped it. So those harmonic stabilizers really do quiet the bow down a lot! Sorry i wasnt able to find the video but im sure if you do some hard searching you could find it.
    Hope this helps you

I don't own one but I did shoot an EZ7 with and without the Harmonic Stabs in. And man what a difference. You would think you were shooting 2 different bows.

I have a venture that didn't have the dampeners when I purchased it. When I finally got them they really made the bow quite. It was like shooting a new bow. Defiantly worth the money.

Thanks Guys! That clears things up a bit. And I believe I have seen the video with the two risers and the with and without the h.d.

I assume if i had one in hand i could install it myself?
