Being unemployed I'm thinking of slightly changing my hunting goals in the early season. I'd like to put 2 doe in the freezer.

That being said, do you have stands that you just will not shoot a doe from, because of the work involved in getting her out?

In thinking about this, I get pretty far back in for most of my hunts. Packing a climber...yada yada yada...Shooting a doe would call for multiple trips in and out.

Or do you modify your sits based on the target? I mean I don't know if i want to give up a quality hunt (with a Buck chance) to simply shoot a doe. I dunno educate me....

most of my doe spots are more urban and field edge easy access but the places I look for bucks are in deep BFE.

Every doe I shoot I drive the tractor to go get:D My doe spots are on field edges or close to a two tracks we have.

I want to get in and out easy without tromping through my woods.

Sorry to here about you being unemployed, it sucks

Sorry to hear about the job. To answer the question, yes I have spots that I won't shoot does in because of the hassle getting them out and the fact that I have closer spots that I can get does without the trouble.

I have a couple spots I won't shoot a doe from, but not really because the drag is too tough. I don't want to be messing it up for later when things are better.
Most of my hunting spots have pretty easy access no matter where the deer fall.

Like most others have said, I too only will shoot doe's from certain areas. I don't want to be ruining an area while tracking a deer and dragging them out and etc.
