I am new to the forum so not sure if this is the right spot to post the question. As far as setting up a trail cam on a spot you want to hunt do you need to worry about the noise from the trail cam when it takes the picture spooking the deer? Thanks in advance for your time.
Absolutely not. The camera shouldn't make any audible noise and if it does i would send it back. Deer don't pay much attention to the camera and they don't see the flash so don't worry about that. BTW Welcome!!
i've seen a lot of pics on here where the camera "seems" to spook the deer. but thousands where it doesn't. i left 1 at my stand during the season last year..i watched it flash and take pics and the deer never looked sideways at it.
Thanks for the help this is the first trail cam that I have bought it is the Moultrie D-55 IR Trail Cam, I got it for $80 which I thought was a good deal and the reviews weren't that bad, Just a slow trigger speed. when it takes the picture tho it makes a small clicking noise is that normal? Thanks Again for the help.
My IR camera make a very small noise when the lens "drops" into place but nothing that would be noticeable unless your on top of it listening for it.
