I am thinking of buying one and putting it on my bow but i was wondering if the sudden stop of the string will cause damage to it?

They come on almost every new bow. You will be fine.

Thanks. I have a bear Instinct that I bought about a year and a half ago new and it did not come with one. I am thinking of getting the STS front mount. Has anybody used this?

I used a front mounted STS on an older bow. It works great.

I have an STS as well. I would recommend adding about a 1 inch area of serving where the string contacts the stop. Then you'll never have to worry about it :tu:

That is what I did. Just serve it and you will be fine.

I added one to mine also. Really helps cut down on vibration and noise after the shot

It will also improve accuracy and stabilize your arrows better. Highly Recommend
