    Hey Everyone,

Well, I have a new place to call home. I'm not attending fire academy at the AB tech in asheville and absolutely love the area.

However, the though of trying to deer hunt in the north carolina mountains is a scary thought. This is my first year hunting, and I had to leave the piedmont area which is completely flat. There is so much land, so many mountains it is crazy.

So here is my question for the mountains hunters here. How do you do it? what do you do to get big tracks of land back in the "nowheres" of the mountains. How do you possibly go about surverying all this land, finding out who owns it, who else is hunting it Etc...

Also, where do deer like to bed in the mountains? How do deer navigate the mountains? What do they feed on? and any other hunting tatcis about hunting deer in the mountains.

This may be a stupid question to some, but I'm very overwelmed. I love the NC mountains and am so pround to be able to hunt it. It really takes physical endurance to scout all the spots and hang a stand.

    Thanks for your help
