Do deer go into the fields in the early morning or just In the evenings? I hunt a nice field at evening and always see them but was just wondering if they would he there in the morning also. Thanks
Just an open grass field with pretty good thicket surrounding it with a Creek basically through the middle of it. Not sure about the bedding but they could be bedded down in any of the thicket
Doesn't sound like a food source field then...as long as the grass is tall and the thicket thick, sounds like potential bedding area...could be returned to in the mornings for sure...but no prior knowledge, aerials or know property take that with a grain of salt.
This is one of our fields I hunted saturday. Just a grass field surrounded by bedding like yours. Had 9 deer in it. 5 by 7 staying till 8 and then the last 4 by 12.
That's what I was basically wondering if deer use fields in the am also. I mean there's a lot of woods around this field it's it's a field in the middle of nowhere basically
They definitely will. Sorry the pics won't load. I'll try again later. But it's literally a grass field surrounded by thickets and a hedgerow on one side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There's never an exact rule to follow. I've kicked deer out of timber in the dark of a morning while trying to access a bedding area stand when they should in theory be in the fields feeding. I've shot deer in the middle of the morning on a field edge when they are supposedly bedded down. I've seen deer bed down in open bean fields in the morning and stay there the biggest part of the morning as well.
here's the field the blue is the creek that runs through it and also you can see the railroad tracks in the picture. It don't look to big in the pic but it's actually 2 or 3 fields conjoined.
