I had a doe and a button (little guy) come underneath my stand the on Saturday morning. I watched these two for about 15 minutes. As I was watching them, I noticed how she was showing him "the ropes" and would not let him out of her site.

What if I decided to harvest her, would this button be on his own and have the risk of falling victim to some yotes; or would another doe "adopt" him?

    Just curious....

I think he will be fine. He will get ran off in another couple weeks anyway when momma gets "ready". If he don't get it by now, he is in trouble anyway. One thing about nature, she takes care of the slow learners one way or the other with no remorse.
