Got my Moose, Tuesday September 22nd. Shot with my bow at 10 yards on the ground after tracking them all day. Finale approach lasted just over 30 minutes of calling and trashing around bushes after I discovered the dominant male scrapes on the ground. 41''1/8 antler spread and 656 lbs for the 4 quarters, without the skin, legs and head. Very cool, Congrats! I almost called one in on Tuesday. Grunted and cow called, but he wouldn't commit. Thrashing brush might have worked, but I was in a tree stand trying to hunt deer He grunted at me all night though.
Mount looks good. I've heard moose meat is really good. You'll be enjoying that for a long time. Congrats.
Thanks ! Yes it was a really nice hunt. Nothing like bowhunting from ground level in prime rut season...
