After you have worked your tail off scouting to prepare for the season, and doing all the things that come with preparing to bowhunt, do you just get into the mindframe "Que sera, sera (whatever will be will be) or "Carpe Diem" (Seize the Day)? What I am trying to ask, after you have made your bed, do you feel comfortable sleeping in it, or do you want to hop in the sack with someone else every new day because you are restless? Type A or Type B when you hit the woods each day? Que sera, sera? OR Carpe Diem?
Josh, I feel I am pretty seize the dayish but I trick myself by telling myself "its no big deal". I try not get worked up but in reality I am bursting at the seams some days. This year I have worked harder than ever in the off-season, and have gained a lot of knowledge from talking with people such as yourself about strategy. I am willing to adjust, but I am going with my gameplan and whatever happens, happens. Jeff, that makes sense....great rut day may put one into a different mindframe, say as compared to a freezing cold December 29th hunt. Good point.
I do all I can to put myself on deer, but........come what may. There isn't alot I can do about it :D
I usually feel that I've done enough to see how my cards play out and should be in a good position to succeed. However, I'm still observant of what is going on and make changes as needed to up the odds in my favor. It looks like your Que Sara Sara fellow has a little Carpe Diem in him too. Did you notice the salt lick in the background?
LOL, that would be an odd addition to that painting. I can just see Bob Ross now, "A happy tree, some lovely rays of sun and to finish off my jovial hunter painting I'll add some litter." :D
