I have the HD and keep having problems with the felt on the arrow rest wearing through every 6 months or so. They are $10 if you order them from QAD. I was wondering if anyone has tried a homemade version that worked and what they use. Other than that I LOVE this rest!

You can cut any moleskin to work. I'd be concerned if you're wearing them out that frequently that things may not be tuned/timed as they should be. That seems pretty excessive to me unless you're shooting 1000 arrows a week or something.

It isn't really wearing out per say. The adhesive is not sticking anymore. Almost like a cheap adhesive. I don't think glueing it would be a good idea....

I've had the same felt on mine since it was new. There is almost no wear on it. I think your arrow might be making too much contact.

I also have the HD and have the OE felt. Make sure your rest doesnt hit when its in the full down position. There should be some "breathing" room when all the way down.

I had the same problem w/ the adhesive not holding down. A couple of suggestions I got were to tie it on w/ serving string or glue it down w/ super glue. I went w/ the super glue. Just a tiny spot to hold it where it was coming up. It worked and have had no issues for almost a year now.

I put mine back down with a little 3M spray glue, no problems since.

If you draw the QAD back and decide to let down the prongs stay up. They drop on the RipCord. The new RipCords have a built in rubberized launcher. The QAD has the felt issue this post is about. They're both great rests.
