I got to use the new Exodus broadheads last night on a doe and I was impressed! It blew through both shoulders and passed through at 30 yards. They fly great and are tough, this one is back in the quiver and ready to go again. It still is razor sharp and not a ding it! The pics show the entry and exit holes.
I got them from the guy that works on my bow. He was gonna try them out as well. I wanted to switch to a tough fixed blade from a mechanical mostly for durability reasons and I couldn't have had a better first test for one.
I Frankensteined this older post since there wasn't anything newer on this specific broadhead. I'm bidding on a pack on a certain website.............anyway does anyone have any personal experience with these things ?
A buddy of mine has killed about every animal in Africa with them an he's swears by them. He's a big broadhead junky and has tried a bunch and come to like the Exodus the best. I'm using it for turkey season. They fly awesome!! But so far I personally haven't killed anything with them but soon will!
I'm liking the cutting diameter, but am trying to get away from replaceable blade, fixed blades. I read up on a bunch like Montec's and Hellrazors but saw people had thoughts on breakage at the welds. I purchased 100gr VPA Terminators non vented and they fly like darts, silent and look as if the blades are indestructable only dullable. I'm waiting on my Exodus to come in the mail. I hope the perform well from my bow, they look like as dangerous as a fixed blade as you can get.
The guys over at Heartland Bowhunter are big on these. I almost tried them out last season just for giggles. If I were to shoot fixed blade this season they would be what I would buy.
