alright going with the wisker biscut, I've shot it before and never had issues with it, I only wanted a drop away to attemt at improving accuracy. and whoever said that they wont break your bank is right whiskers are relativly cheap.

no marks with QAD either, heres the problem solver for the QAD drop away rest, your having fletching contact because your rest has the shorter launcher arm on it and makes it almost impossible to tune, just call QAD in VA. and talk with kevin and he will send you the TR1 launcher arm ,which is taller,to get the clearance you need for perfect arrow flight and there is no charge.you will get new camo/blk silence tape, screws, and instruction cd.these QAD guys have great customer service and i will continue to purchase their products.if anyone needs the phone number its;QAD at (434)846-5839.

    Quad Vs Biscuit
I used a biscuit for a few years and still do on my backup bow. True ,the cold does effect the vanes with the biscuit. To the point I missed a good 180 buck due to the sound it made while I was drawing on him at 25 yards the day before I went to Grenada on a mission trip after Hurricane Ivan. It was minus 27. The next day I arrived in Grenada it was +32. I switched 4 years ago to blazer vanes and have had no problem with clearance and torn vanes with the biscuit.
The quad I have on my main bow is awesome and have had no markings on the rubbers as Ben said. The Blazers again I believe are the answer to contact with fletchings. Much shorter and get through both the biscuit and drop away quicker, less material to make contact. There both good rest's and deserve a spot on anyone's bow and also have there con's and pro's like every thing else in this world.

Yes it is. Zero marks on my QAD Ultra Rest. I practice often and hunted hard from Oct. until mid Jan. last year. I hunted temps ranging from 80 degrees to near or below zero degrees. Rain, snow, or shine my QAD work flawlessly every time.

I have used a wb. It is a fair rest. But I can't say I would go back to it.

When I wear out my QAD Ultra Rest I will be picking up another QAD.

I'd go with the QAD. I've owned two of them now, the HD Pro Series and the new HDX Both are great, easy to tune with and I always get fletching clearance. I wouldn't use any other. The NAP Apache is nice but a little heavy and isn't a true "full capture" rest. The ripcord isn't bad either but it doesn't have the lockdown feature that the QAD does.

QAD for me, I've had the whisker biscuits before and just don't care for them.

I put a qad ultra rest on my Z7 and love it. Quite, simple and eazy to adjust.

my philosophy on this is simple. Moving parts fail. Always have, always will. What works flawlessly on the range, may have issues in the field. Im sure tons of people on here will tell you the shot fall away rests all the time with no issue, and that may be true, but why risk it? The biscuit works great every time, and its idiot proof. Also, Ive never torn a vain, solid or feather.

Dont give up on it. I think you just have a timing issue. I shoot a QAD on my Monster just fine. No contact at all.

I have shot many different rests, but the one I like the most is the Whisker Biscuit. If you fletch your own arrows do the following or ask your proshop to put an extra bead of glue in front of each vane. Since doing this years ago, I have never tore a vane from my arrow. Also, people complain of vanes getting wavy, blazers do not seem to, but I will spray armor-all on a rag, and wipe each vane prior to the season. Since being told this trick, no problem with that either. To each their own, but I do not notice any noise from the WB, in fact my best friend was over shooting his DXT with a rip cord drop-a-way, and was shocked at how much quieter my Air Raid is with the WB. Neither are loud by any stretch, but mine was noticeably quieter. All rests are more consistent than the operator, so go with the one you feel most comfortable with. As a hunter only (not good enough to compete!) I prefer the WB.

i took the wb off my bow after it started tearing my blazers. switched to a QAD ultra HD and I can shoot 1 inch groups at 20 yrds all day. and can stay at 2" groups at 30 and 40. my grouping with the wb was around 2" at 20 and 4-5 at 40

I have never had issudes with vane contact, and never had one failure.
