Although I believe he acted in self defense when he was attacked, he certainly seemed to be looking for trouble, and reports like this prove it. This guy is a major tool looking to capitalize on something he should have put behind him. He should have just disappeared into civilization and that would be the end of it, but unfortunately he's an opportunist idiot.

We clearly should rehash this topic and have another 57 page thread on it.

That's why I left the site for 3 months (not that topic specifically). I'm quickly remembering why I left.

So if the department of justice gave him the gun back, how else should he get rid of it to move on from the past? I guess he could destroy it...

I guess he could have told them to keep it but who wants "the man" to keep their firearm? no one on here I bet!

Well I would think a pawn shop or gun store would bring a little less attention than an auction trying to get the highest bidder. It's not that he's selling it, it's that he's selling it with shameless attention with the purpose of getting more money since it was used to kill someone in a high profile nationally covered incident. That's Grade A Canoe of the D0uche variety right there.

    Media, Media, Media.

I agree a pawn shop would be under the radar but, Gunbroker.com isnt that much different.

This sounds like a great story to get people going again on gun control, It probably isn't even for sale anywhere lol

    not on Gunbroker.com....

He better be careful with that. The wrong person might want to buy it to take revenge.

That's pretty sad. No matter if the shooting was justified or not. He must be real hard up for cash. Even so that is way wrong.

While I think Zimmerman is a dirtbag. From reports I've seen, he is pretty much broke and can't get a job. If he can find somebody willing to pay the money, at least he can support himself for a while.

could just sit back and collect welfare.
