Because lately certain politicians think it is their business not only to mandate to Americans how to live, but also every other country how to live. Usually the American leaders who rattle the sabers the most have absolutely no military experience to guide them either.

Got any good reads on this being plausible? Not saying it isn't possible, and it sounds great as an anti-Bush conspiracy theory... I just never saw where our country or Bush himself benefited from Iraq's oil by the war there... Would love to hear this angle explained more in depth than the typical one liner you see. Personally, I wish we would have absolutely pillaged the oil. Sell enough barrels to cover every single expense related to the war itself, then send a few tankers home for good measure before closing up shop.
Really? Those who paid for whom was in office got the benefit. Bush, Clinton or Obama it would not have mattered, this country is run by those with the $, not those in office.
I could get more and more, wars today are about money to US. It's just that simple. Putin has nothing to fear and he knows it, he got what he wanted and we have no "Interest" in Ukraine.
I am sure a lot of people would love to go back to a Cold War status. As many should be able to figure out wars are not won anymore there just was to waste money on the war machine,but we have miles of tanks that we will never use and still make them every day just to put them in a parking lot for ever. China would absolutely trash their own currency to flush ours if there was a new world reserve currency ready to take its place.
