Last week I tried a different way to draw the bow and was amazed at how much easier it was on the shoulder. Holding the bow close to the chest with both arms bent and then pushed with the bow arm and pulled the string with the right arm. Worked like a champ. I mentioned this to my brother and he said he'd been doing this for years because of his shoulder. Can't recall seeing this discussed here and thought I'd bring it up in case its helpful to others.

It does make for a slower smoother draw when you have a deer in range. I have also found I can hold a draw longer holding the bow low.

I used to do it like that but I can get anchored and on target way faster when I hold my bow straight out then draw to my face

that is interesting Sota. I've always straightened my bow arm first then drew the bow with the right arm/shoulder.

Oh without a doubt there are times when strait up drawing to your face is the way to go, heck I am lucky if I am in a standing position when the buck shows and every time I curse myself.

I backed my poundage down to 58. It pulls a lot easier now
