    Thanks for the feed back, I went out and did some evening shooting tonight after going through some rounds of those drills before I did any actual shooting and it helped out a TON!

    can someone please elaborate on "let the pin float over the target". i understand not trying to stop the pin on the bullseye, but are you allowing the pin to float an "x" pattern over the bullseye or float just above? if so, how much float? and do you increase your back tension as the pin is floating until the shot goes off?

    The blank bale method has worked for me. This allowed me to focus on the how the release should feel. Think of it like driving your first standard shift vechile and trying to remember all the things needed to do just to get rolling. After awhile the sub-conscious mind took over and done everthing except your focus on the road which the conscious mind was in control. So the aiming should be conrtolled by the conscious mind and let the sub-conscious mind do the rest. Good kuck

    Because I stumbled across this thread, I now too will practice this technique because I'm doing the same exact thing. Holding under then lift to the X and hit the trigger.
