I waited out and managed to get a surplus bear tag last week. Well worth the whole morning in a store. The excitement and anxiety during that itself was sick. My first hunt with a bow being a bear hunt is pretty sweet. Hoping I have almost everything ready for baiting and season to start in less than a week. Got clothes ready, scent control ready, picking up 1000 lbs of sweets and stuff for bait today, few bags of corn and monster raxx bear attract, stand set, lanes cleared, trail cams ready, barrel ready, signs ready, gopro camera ready, arrangements for potential kill made. Just gotta register bait station, final tuning of bow. Between reading and questioning friends and others for knowledge hopefully the few hundred hours will come together for this.
Any words of advice or things I'm missing more than welcome. Hopefully I'll have some pics/updates in time.

Thanks and good luck to you guys too. Hopefully there'll be some great stories and footage from everyone.
Just got back from my shopping trip. The guy had a bus full of bait. Here's his ad from craigslist for anyone in the area interested.
Definitely got decently over 1000 lbs and few buckets of grease and scent to go with for $250. Great guy to deal with and talk to.
Can't say this dulled the excitement at all...

Thank ya. I hope its enough. Can start putting it out Friday and goes til October 13, so lot of feedings in there . I figured I'd rather over buy than scramble trying to find some if needed later, especially with his prices. Looking forward to seeing what it brings in, never done it before.

Sunday Cannot come soon enough. Been watching a nice size bear or two come in for over a week now each night. Today with camera checking had this as a pleasant surprise, a nice step up from the others. He'd be an excellent sight to see from the stand or pending his timing on tomorrows camera maybe an ambush on the trail on his way home after in the AM for opener.
