Pulled my shoulder last week. Can only shoot 7 arrows at a time now until it starts to hurt. Think I'm gonna take 2 weeks off til I start shooting again. Anyone know good excercises to do?

If it's pulled you let it rest.

You need to lower the poundage on your bow so you don't continue reinjuring it.

Yeah think I'm gonna rest it for 2 weeks then hopefully I'm good. I'm good for bow season no matter what. it starts in 42 days and I'm good for at least my first few shots before it really hurts

Rest it as much as you can. Do this with only 5 pounds of weigh to strengthen it.

I hurt my shoulder 2 years ago. I rested the shoulder as much as I could and I did this and a few others to strengthen it. Get Well Soon!

I would lower my bow to like 50 but I have a #70 Mathews and it doesn't go that low lol

Looks like a rotation of the shoulder exercise to me

Correct. Looks like external rotation from photos. Unfortunately I know this having them after having surgery.

Yes. My shoulder hurt right at the joint where the arm meets the shoulder and right in front. Anytime I tried to raise or pull something, it didn't take but a couple of minutes before it started to hurt. This exercise and bending over and slowly imitating that you are starting a lawnmower worked the best. Do this with no weight for a few days and then use 5 lbs as you strengthen it.

I would ice the injury 3-4 times a day until the pain subsides by at least 50%. Then, after each shooting session, ice your shoulder. Also, I would take 400-600 mg of ibuprofen, 3-4x a day over a 5 day period. I guarantee that would lessen the pain significantly.

    ^^This^^

Had the same thing happen to me last year. I iced my shoulder and then put a heating pad on it. If its unbearable I suggest you go to the doctor but in a lot of cases with the pain in that area the bursa or the tendon has become inflamed. After it got better I limited myself to shooting every second day and take bigger breaks in between volleys.

It's not unbearable I actually just was outside testing out my new nockturnals shot 7 and it wasn't to to bad. It just hurts when I go to draw back. Soooo my draw isn't the greatest looking thing at this moment lol

Sounds like the rotator cuff. I had to start taking Naproxen for rotator cuff tendinitis, but several exercises including the one pictured in this thread with LIGHT weight will help to strengthen the muscle around the rotator cuff and not put the strain onto it.
