Yesterday I went and pulled my trail cameras from an area of the property that we haven't really hunted in the past. We were flipping through the pictures of a bunch of does and then this showed up. I shot a 146" deer out here two years ago but this one is in a league of it's own. It's obvious that he is an old mature deer. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to hunt these old deer that are very likely to go nocturnal? I am planning on just hunting the outskirts of his home range when the wind is perfect and making minimal pressure and then hunting it whenever the rut is on and hope that the hormones get the best of him.
