Then maybe both of you could humor me and answer with a simple yes or no.......for a third time.

Are you in favor of firing the Wisc. teachers.....if they don't show up for classes?

Are you in favore of recalling the Dem. Wisc. senators.....if they don't show up to do their jobs?

Are you in favor of the teachers' union having to pony up their fair share of their own packages?

I wonder what this has to do with balancing the budget???

Walker's budget has provision to have unclaimed dogs turned over to research facilities

SECTION 2704. 174.13 (2) of the statutes is amended to read:

174.13 (2) Any officer or pound which has custody of an unclaimed dog may release the dog to the University of Wisconsin System, the University of Wisconsin–Madison, the Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc., or to any other educational institution of higher learning chartered under the laws of the state and accredited to the University of Wisconsin System or University of Wisconsin–Madison, upon requisition by the institution. The requisition shall be in writing, shall bear the signature of an authorized agent, and shall state that the dog is requisitioned for scientific or educational purposes. If a requisition is made for a greater number of dogs than is available at a given time, the officer or pound may supply those immediately available and may withhold from other disposition all unclaimed dogs coming into the officer’s or pound’s custody until the requisition is fully discharged, excluding impounded dogs as to which ownership is established within a reasonable period. A dog left by its owner for disposition is not considered an unclaimed dog under this section. If operated by a county, city, village or town, the officer or pound is entitled to the payment of $1 for each dog requisitioned. An institution making a requisition shall provide for the transportation of the dog.

Firing means you lose your job. You're welcome to re-apply, though. Get in line.

LOL!!!!!!!!!! You think .....anywhere in the job description of Senator for the state of Wisconsin it reads....."Run like a coward to another state to avoid doing the job you were elected to perform"?

    3 guesses on that one.

    Trust me....you don't...lol. RE: 3 yes/no questions....................Your silence is deafening.

They're elected to represent the will of ALL THE PEOPLE of the state. They're not elected to represent party cronies.

I don't really care how they vote, Joe. If they win the vote.....it's the will of the people.

    Just show up.

Actually they are not. They represent their voting district. That is why redistricting is always such a big deal and you some some ridiculously shaped districts. If they represented ALL of the people the all elections would be statewide and we could vote on all politicians. As it is now we can only vote on the politicians that represent the district we are registered in.

He listened. He just (and the majority of the state senators) thinks they need to go in another direction. And, they have the numbers.

It's called political capital. The republicans have it (in Wisc.).

You're OK with pissing on decorum........just because you know it's not going to go the way you want it to? Kinda - taking your ball and going home? I thought we were discussing adults?????

    Bruce:

Are you saying that applies for house of representatives AND state senators?

    Let's assume it does.....

So we have a 19-14 majority (repubs). If they vote down party lines......would you say they've represented the will of their constituents? They were elected, right?

He did, maybe you need to listen to that prank phone call again...the only one who took their ball and went home was Scott Walker....LMAO!!!!!!...........yeah they went in their own direction all right, cutting people off and NOT listening to the public that wanted to speak on this bill and then taking illegal votes before the scheduled time....but...I'm sure thats OK with you as well Jeff...

Joe...if what you're condoning occurred in every state.......NOTHING.....I mean NOTHING would ever get accomplished.

You're OK with senators heading for the hills, every time they know they don't have the numbers? Really?

It applies to every politician that does not run in, and is not voted on, by a statewide election. For instance, I cannot vote on the same state representative and state senator that Mark (bigcountry) can vote on.

If their vote reflects the will of the people that elected them to their office, their constituents, then they represented those that elected them. That is usually not ALL of the people, just the simple majority.

    Jeff.....

So you're cool with the Republicans taking an Illegal Vote...

So you're cool with the Governor not even trying to listen to people...

And you're happy with the Governor not even trying to negotiate....

But you're not cool with some trying to make him to listen?

Yes and apparently the dems are doing what their constituents want by leaving the state thus preventing the reps from doing something they don't want.

Now, though, for reality. Politicians represent special interests, not the people that elected them. As long as money gets a person elected, the rich and the special interests will control politics and the government, not the people.

No. I'm not. Are they doing this?

Bruce....is fleeing the state to avoid a vote.....REALLY representing their constituents? Is this the grand design for the legislative process in Wisc. (or anywhere)?

    They did it...

This was on YouTube but for some reason.....its has been taken down...weird??

    ---------
In the Wisconsin Assembly on Friday, Republican leaders had called lawmakers to the floor at 5 p.m. to take up Walker's bill to fix a budget shortfall by cutting public worker benefits and bargaining rights. But they began business just before that hour, when Democrats were not yet on the floor.

Democrats charged into the chamber and shouted to stop the action as Republican staff urged their leaders to "keep going, keep going." Republicans took the voice vote, putting the bill in a stage that prevented it from being amended in that house. Assembly Minority Leader Peter Barca (D-Kenosha) called the move an "illegal vote" and demanded that Republicans rescind it.

If there's no constitutional basis for their vote.....I hope it's nullified.

Let's get the dem senators back and get this handled, immediately!
