What's wrong with the Koch family's (or, any family's) involvement?

Joe....Talk to me more about these "basic workers' rights" Barca kept addressing. What workers' rights have been stepped on?

    Joe,

I don't want to get into a link posting battle but I did want to post this to rebut some of the things you posted earlier in this thread. I just want you to know there is another side of the story depending on who is telling it.

I consider you my friend Joe and I don’t want to ruin that. We just disagree on this one. :)

Brad I for one know there is 2 sides to every story, most on here don't! They keep telling stories about unions from 30, 40 and 50 years ago, and a friend told me this and his friend said, blah blah blah......and in the next breath says times have changed! Really... no kidding sherlock! LOL! So they're expecting me to believe that certain unions are still holding shotguns to peoples heads...give me a break! Some must spend a lot of time researching others livelihoods.......to claim to know so much about it!

Of course we are still friends buddy! We disagree, no biggie, I'll hunt or have a beer with you any day my friend...and hopefully in a few weeks we will.....:tu:

So all you guys worried about your tax dollars going in the right places and getting a bang for your buck..... Sounds like political payback from Walker to the Koch brothers in the works........

    A short but interesting article!

Smoke out of a dumpster yesterday required the following....

    3 firetrucks
    2 cop cars (2 cops)
    10 firemen!
About an hour they were there.10 minutes of hosing down the dumpster. 50 minutes of i don't know what else

Action probably required? couple 5 galon buckets or take bag of trash that was smoldering and chuck it in the snow.

Since you knew thats all that was needed, why didn't you take the initiative and put the fire out instead of standing on the sidelines watching...think of all the tax dollars you could of saved yourself and others...... :lmao:

I think we should just pay teachers 30.00 dollars a day to baby sit kids for a day.

They only go to school 182 days a year

My wife has 28 kids in her class

    180*28*30 = $151,200

Sign the Germ family up for that deal. The fact she has her Masters plus 15 should get us extra money!!!!!!!!!! At the end of next year she will have her PHD:)

Think about those numbers just sending 28 kids to day care at 30 bucks a day would cost $151,200.

Remember Teachers pay for their extra education and have to.

My Wife's Master degree cost us 17,000 and I am not even going to tell you what her PHD is costing us.

Just maybe if we all worked together like we did in the past, we could get our kids back on track.

    Germ, GREAT for your wife!

Both of my parents are teachers, so is my girlfriend.

They have their masters, but got some help from the district. I thought this would be the case elsewhere, too?

Unless you were talking about undergrad?
