I am going to try to hunt ohio and pa next year I was wondering what are some good tracks of public ground. I was also wondering when the bow season starts and what your limit of deer are bucks and does. I would be ok with just gettint one deer al year I just want to experience the new land any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated

Unfortunately, with public property chances are if someone out of state knows about it, the residents know about it as well. This is my issue as I only have one small tract of private land. I think the best and easiest thing for you to do would be to contact the DEP or DEC (whatever it is called in that state) and see where it is legal to hunt. They will be able to provide you with kill reports including sex and size of deer. Also talk to the local taxidermists and hunting stores in the area. They will be able to give you tips about public land also.

Im im southeast pa near philadelphia. I hunt WMU 5c and 5d which offer the longest archery season in the state running from mid sept. thru end of jan. with only a couple weeks no hunting around christmas. There are split seasons with buck and doe a lot to get into here but you can find it on pa game commision web site. The public land I hunt most is ######## park in ####### county wmu 5c. It gets a ton of pressure not really a lot of archers but small game and just people on horses etc. but if you can hunt a weekday EARLY AM then you will have a good chance. Im in my stand at least an hour and a half before light. If you decide to try around here PM me and I can point you in the right direction.

Thanks I will try it out. I have no problem with being in the woods 2-2 1/2 hours early better to be early than late
