    Does anyone know of any good public areas in Minnesota to hunt?

    Well I live in Buffalo but I also have a cabin 20 miles north of Brainerd so anywhere around those areas would be good.

    The Sherburne Refuge is just a little ways Northeast of you. Plenty of space and a lot of people pull deer from there.

    Have you ever looked at the recreation compass? If not, when the shutdown is over, I'll shoot you a link to it. Great way to find public land in Minnesota.

    Like Fitz said, they shoot some Monsters at Camp Ripley I would give that a try.
