Here is where I'm looking at filling my Doe tag this year. Hopefully with my 10year old daughter.

Green border is 160 acres owned by a friends business. Hoping to get his permission so I can keep a stand out all season. Red is another 240 or so acres of open public land under different ownership that I can hunt, but will have to remove stands nightly. Yellow square is where my primary target spot would be. I should be able to get pretty close bringing my boat up the creek so I don't have to walk in.

Here are pictures looking North and South of the clearing and natural path I believe the deer are using. There are 6 huge oaks next to what is very mature row pines.

North of this little clearing heads into those mature row pines

Then between the Row Pines and Road is an area that was clear cut about 10 years ago and is now some extremely thick young growth about all about 15 feet tall which makes some great cover for them.

There's alot going on there. I think Josh Fletcher touched on this in the last episode. Diversity is key. I'd say you're on the right path for you and your girl to fill that tag. Good luck!

I bet the public land gets guys over the property line onto his also. I dont mind hunting public but you have to find the spot where no one wants to go to (Usually the far back). Looks like you have the spot though! Good luck!
