Stand wise tree saddle is the cats meow. Wanna lug them sticks be my guest.

Far as huntin public land and everyone sayin go a long ways in. That's tru you wanna get away from other hunters but when your walkin 2 miles one way and get to the top do u think about how others can walk a half like and be there cause they cross off private land? Best bet you can do is learn how to use a map.

And your 2nd most critical step is do all your lookin and snooping before spring hits.

I love this idea and feel a little foolish. I have two climbers, why not chain them to trees where I climb the most and not have to carry them? Great idea!

Go for it then he could call the dnr and get you for hunter harassment and you would be the one in trouble! Go for it.

If your gonna set up right in a mans lap right on his treestand all I will say is you better be tuff in case he is a hard core dedicated hunter.

Old sayin goes " if your gonna be dumb you better be tuff"

I hunt public land during bow season and all I use is my lone wolf sit and climb climbing stand, but I have unlimited amount of tall straight trees where I hunt.

I have a muddy hang on and stick setup and always setup and break down each hunt. As for public land strategies, I love people claiming spots, tells me where mature bucks won't be. If you're after meat setting up a spot and hunting it over and over again can work, if you have other goals its far from the best strategy.

Believe it depends on the type of ownership the property is under.

Lol alright first of all i aint settin up on anybodys setup. First of all I have my own property and have never hunted a day on public land. Second of all everybody thinks their tuff, even anderson silva, but tell that to his leg ! All i was saying is that its unfair to the public hunters which is what this property is he is hunting. To go setup your stand when you shouldnt be able to do that. Hiding your stand and taking the climbing sticks down to prevent someone else from using it is ridiculous. All it means is your claiming where your hunting before hand and you shouldnt be able to do it. Its not fair to anybody else hunting there. You should have to put it up and take it down during each hunt. Its only fair to everybody that way. I am just stating my opinion ! Its like at my property where I bust my *** planting food plots, and from one of the plots at the back of the property I can see one of my neighbors stands like 150 yards or so away. He drove out on his four wheeler three different times this year and dumped out multiple five gallon buckets of bait under his treestand plus a fifty pound bag every time. The law is 2 gallons per 40 acres which is all he has. So he is majorly over baiting for deer and its bull**** that he can just do whatever he wants while other people obey the law. Just sayin obey the laws.

Ya naturally i speed. I actually have a hard time following the speed limit. Hemi doesnt lime to not be unleashed. If i didnt own property im not sure i would still hunt for reasons like those above. If you get their and some guy is setting up or just got up in his tree fine. But not day after day hunt after hunt his stuff is setup in the same tree... C'mon

Lol in know what ya mean man but there is some ignorant uncanny folks that hunt and jus don't get the gig. They ain't very hunting inclined so they ****** off other people's sets. But some people to hang stands all over to tryin claim a whole area and show there *** to tryin run everyone away from "their area"

For them kinda people a case of Irish spring sport seems to help out there area of smelling bad. Scattered and shredded off along the 100 acres that surrounds there stands and ther truck sized illegal salt lick. I won't involve the law and i will not steal or tamper with anyones belongings but I buy my tags as well as Anyone else and people like that get what they deserve lol

Ya. It sounds like a ****ty deal all the way around. I seriously dont think i would hunt if i didnt have the property i do. I have enough problems with my neighbors shooting small deer when we are in a massive QDM area. Just a half mile to the west there is 2600 acres acres of QDM. This year gun season my brother had a nubby buck eating in our west plot which is by the fenceline where my neighbor illegally baits. My brother watched it eat or big n beasty plot for a half hour then it waljed to the fenceline and the neighbor shot it. Its like really ? Really ? It just left its moms tit. C'mon man
